Madison Resident Accused of Shoplifting Batteries, Gum

Woman caught on surveillance, police said.

A 49-year-old Madison woman was charged with shoplifting Saturday after she was caught on surveillance taking batteries and packs of gum from Stop & Shop, authorities said.

Barbra Einterz was arrested by Patrolman Vincent Dellavalle, who responded to the store after a manager called police about the theft, according to a Madison police news release.

Madison Police Detective Lt. Dennis Lam said Thursday the items were placed in a purse and reusable shopping bag.

Police said Einterz was wanted in connection with a previous alleged shoplifting incident in the same store. She was charged with two counts of shoplifting and released pending a court appearance, according to police.
