The Madison Athletic Foundation, Inc., established in 2006 to promote athletics in the borough, uses funds raised from private donations to assist with community projects. It undertook a similar effort when it raised funds in 2006 for synthetic turf at Ted Monica Stadium and donated the field to the Board of Education.
"The MAF raises funds for athletics related projects and donates these projects once completed to the Borough or BOE, so they can properly maintain them," said Nino Coviello, a member of the Madison Athletic Foundation advisory board.
