Voter Registration: Tuesday is the deadline to register for the General Election. The clerk’s office will be open until 8 p.m. Tuesday for anyone who has not yet registered.
Applications for Mail-In ballots are available at the clerk's office and online. Ballots must be completed and returned postmarked no later than Oct. 30 if by mail, or by Monday, Nov. 5, in person.
Board of Education: The school board meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Madison High School library. Reports on "Safe Routes to Schools" and superintendent goals are on the agenda. There could be an update on exploring the possibility of having student-athletes take a study hall instead of physical education.

10 Maple Ave. Auction: The former recreation buiilding at 10 Maple Ave. is scheduled to be sold to the highest bidder as a single-family home at 10 a.m. Thursday in the courtroom at Hartley Dodge Memorial. Bidding starts at $200,000.
Library Strategic Plan: The Madison Public Library Board of Trustees invites the public to attend a Town Hall Meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Library's Chase Auditorium. Trustees and staff will present the Library's Strategic Plan 2012-2015.

Farmer's Market: Second-to-last Madison Farmers Market of the season is scheduled from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday on Green Village Road in front of the Museum of Early Trades & Crafts.
