New Plant-Based Restaurant Opens In Madison Borough
The Hidden Chickpea opened its doors last week, offering healthy, plant-based food options suitable for all dietary requirements.
MADISON, NJ — Madison Borough's newest restaurant, The Hidden Chickpea, held its soft opening this past week, bringing vegetarian and vegan food to Main Street.
According to restaurant officials, The Hidden Chickpea provides healthy, plant-based options with the convenience of a fast-casual dining experience and a customizable menu.
The Hidden Chickpea is located at 143 Main Street in Madison, which was formerly occupied by Slamwich Scratch Kitchen, which closed its doors in 2021, after six years in the Madison community.

According to the Google listing, the restaurant is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.
On the menu are comfort classics like white cheddar mac and cheese and a vegan take on a B.L.T sandwich.

"We believe that the basis for a great restaurant is simple: serving high-quality food in a friendly and inviting atmosphere," the restaurant wrote on the company website. "We are inclusive of everyone’s dietary choices, but strive to introduce omnivores to the benefits of plant-based diets. We pride ourselves in providing our customers with a unique dining experience."
