The series pairs performances by seasoned professionals with Rising Stars sets featuring talented high school and college jazz students from around New Jersey, helping nurture young musicians while bringing rich jazz history into the community.

• Madison Girls Basketball: Dodgers Win Streak Snapped at Four Games After Loss to Villa Walsh (tapinto.net) — Madison High School’s girls basketball team saw its four-game winning streak end in a 44–37 home loss to Villa Walsh on Wednesday. After leading 24–15 at halftime behind strong defense, the young Dodgers struggled with composure in the second half, allowing a big Vikings comeback that their coach hopes becomes a key learning moment.
