Shakespeare Theatre of NJ Seeking Volunteers for 2015 Season

The Theatre will be hosting a volunteer open house next month.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey is looking for volunteers for its upcoming 2015 season, which begins on May 28.

The Theatre is seeking volunteers to assist with ushering, concessions and its gift shop. It will be holding an volunteer open house on Wednesday, May 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Ave. in Madison.

Those interested in volunteering are invited to attend the open house and enjoy a preview of the 2015 season from the artistic staff, mingle with veteran volunteers, and learn about the Theatre’s volunteer opportunities, the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey said in a release.

In return for their work, volunteers will receive receive ticket vouchers redeemable for admissions to productions throughout the season. Performances are held Tuesday through Sunday evenings, with matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday matinees, beginning May 27 at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre.

Additional volunteers are needed for the production of the Theatre’s outdoor state -- the Greek Theatre on the cmapus of the College of St. Elizabeth in Convent Station -- running June 17 through July 26.
