1,100 Wax Folds Of Suspected Heroin Seized In Ridgefield Park: Police
Police arrest two men on drug distribution charges in Ridgefield Park, after chasing one of them on foot for several blocks.
RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ — A 23-year-old man was arrested last week in Ridgefield Park on multiple drug charges after police chased him on foot for several blocks and found 60 wax folds of suspected heroin on him, Police Chief Joseph Rella said in a news release.
On July 1, police saw Alaziz Dalmida, of Newark, trying to hide a controlled substance with his feet, while he was riding passenger in a suspicious vehicle they were inspecting near Fellowship Park. Dalmida tried to run away when officers asked him to get out of the vehicle, Rella said.
The driver of the vehicle, Osman Hoti, 41, of Ridgefield Park, was also arrested on multiple drug charges, and a total of 1,100 wax paper folds of suspected heroin were found, police said.

Dalmida was charged with distribution of heroin over five ounces, and of controlled dangerous substances within 500 feet of a public park; and with possession of drug paraphernalia; resisting arrest; obstruction; and possession of a schedule I-IV controlled substance, police said.
Hoti was charged with distribution of heroin over five ounces, and of controlled dangerous substances within 500 feet of a public park; and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

Both Dalmida and Hoti were taken to the Bergen County Jail, police said.
