DEA Agent Shoots Man In Fort Lee During Drug Bust: Authorities
The man may have tried to run over two agents with his car, according to an NBC News report.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Drug Enforcement Administration agent shot a man in the leg in Fort Lee in broad daylight Tuesday, according to police and reports.
Two agents were involved in the shoot-out on Whiteman Street near Lemoine Avenue about 1:35 p.m., according to DEA special agent Timothy McMahon and a CBS News report.
NBC reports the agents began shooting after the man tried to run them over with his car.

The man who was shot was listed in stable condition at an area hospital as of Wednesday morning, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said. Neither agent was injured.
The shooting frightened locals who told CBS News gun violence is rare in Fort Lee.

"My son was with me and my first reaction was, 'Hey, get down, get down,'" Brian Aragonez told the news outlet. "I felt kind of scared."
Tom Ko, a local store owner, told NBC he heard five "pops" then saw a Toyota crash into a pole.
"No one really knew what to do," Ko said. "We kind of just ducked at the sound of the pop and we saw that police had everything under control eventually."
The investigation is being handled by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
