3 Charged In May Armed Robbery Involving BB Gun: Bergen Co. Prosecutor
Three suspects, already in custody on unrelated charges, were served charges related to an armed robbery in May 2022, the prosecutor said.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Three suspects already in custody on unrelated charges were charged in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in spring 2022, authorities said.
Alex Carroll, David Fate and Tariq Kyam, currently incarcerated in three separate jails, were each served complaints related to a May 26 robbery in the parking lot of a Costco warehouse store in Teterboro, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said Monday.
Each of the suspects stand accused of pointing a BB gun at, or in the direction of, a woman while robbing her of her iPhone, credit cards and purse, the complaint said.

A months-long investigation identified the suspects as Carroll, Fate and Kyam, each of whom had been linked to a "multitude of crimes," including vehicle theft, robbery and stolen credit cards, a police affidavit said.
In relation to the Teterboro robbery, Carroll, 36; Fate, 38; and Kyam, 58; were each charged with the following offenses: armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, certain person not to possess a weapon, unlawful possession of a weapon, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and aggravated assault by pointing a firearm.
