Five Things To Do During The Holiday Break

Looking for something to do with the kids during their week off from school? Patch has some ideas to keep everyone entertained.

1. Van Saun Park Zoo is offering a series of Holiday Break Programs for children ages 3 through 12. From open activities to classes about exotic animals, there is something for everyone. For more information, click here. 

2. NJ Children's Museum in Paramus is offering Holiday Break Fun Shops all day from Tues. December 27 through Fri. December 30. Fun Shops include puppet shows, storytime and handpainting. For more information, click here. 

3. Saddle River Valley Cultural Center is offering Vacation Workshops on December 28 and 29 for children ages 5 through 10. Classes include Super Science Make it and Take It, Robot Robotics, Broadway Kids Musical Theater and Acting Workshop and the Girls Club. For more information, or to register, click here.

4. Visit a Nature Center. Bergen County has so many nature centers to choose from and each one has something different to offer.

5. Ski Campgaw: According to the mountain's website, Monday, December 26 is opening day fo the 2011-2012 ski season. Campgaw offers skiing, snowboarding and tubing fun for everyone. They even offer skiing and snowboarding lessons to indiviudals with Developmental Delays & Visual Impairments through their Adaptive Ski Program.
