Bergen Co. Man Flown To Hospital After Being Hit By Car: Police
A Bergen County man is listed in serious condition after he was hit by a car while trying to cross the street in Ocean County, police said.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Bergen County man is listed in critical condition after he was hit by a car while trying to cross the street in Toms River, according to authorities.
The 42-year-old Lodi man, who was not identified, stepped out into traffic, not in the crosswalk, when he was hit around 9:31 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Route 37 and River Drive, Toms River police spokesperson Jillian Messina said.
The pedestrian was flown to a university hospital in serious condition, Messina said.

The driver showed no signs of impairment and stayed on scene, police added.
