Bergen Co. Man Sets Truck Alight, Charged With Arson: Police

First responders found the truck ablaze in a Bergen County neighborhood, and accused the owner of starting the fire, the prosecutor said.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Bergen County man set his own pickup truck on fire, authorities allege.

Police found the truck ablaze at 11:38 p.m. Saturday in a Little Ferry neighborhood, and linked the vehicle's owner, Louis Molino, to the incident.

Fire crews extinguished the Nissan Frontier that had been set alight at 16 Couchon Drive.

Molino, 40, who lives in the borough, was charged with aggravated arson, and risking widespread injury or damage in a residential area. He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail, pending an initial court appearance.
