Bergen Co. Robberies: Man Charged In 30-Minute-Long Spree, Cops Said
Police arrested a man on charges of four armed robberies during a spree in Bergen County and a separate armed robbery three days later.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A man was linked to a series of armed robberies in a 30-minute stretch, and to a separate armed robbery three days later, all in Bergen County, according to authorities.
Thomas Johnson, 30, of East Orange, is suspected of committing four armed robberies reported over a 30-minute span on Jan. 22 in Bergen County. Johnson, while in dark clothing and gloves, held cashiers at gunpoint at a Fair Lawn 7-Eleven, a Paramus BP and a Mahwah Valero and Bolla between 10:40 and 11:10 p.m., police officials said.
Johnson stands accused also of robbing an Elmwood Park 7-Eleven on Jan. 25, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.

The defendant was arrested without incident on Feb. 2, the prosecutor's office said.
He was charged with armed robbery, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, and aggravated assault by pointing a firearm. He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending an initial court appearance, the prosecutor's office added.
