A Bergen County man was accused of impersonating someone and texting nude and sexually explicit photos of that person to someone, authorities announced.

Daniel G. Pfeiffer, 29, of Old Tappan was charged with stalking, invasion of privacy, impersonation, cyber-harassment, and contempt of a stalking restraining order, said Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella.

The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Cyber Crimes Unit received information in April about at least one, but as many as three, fake social media accounts on dating websites for a 29-year-old victim, Musella said.

Authorities learned that Pfeiffer created the accounts, impersonated the victim, and encouraged people to contact the victim, Musella said.

Pfeiffer texted nude or sexually explicit images of the victim to a stranger at least once, and arranged a sexual encounter while posing as the victim, Musella said.
