MAHWAH, NJ — The first PrimoHoagies location in Bergen County will open in Mahwah Thursday.
The location is at 320 Ridge Road. The first 100 customers will get a free sandwich. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m.
"That area, it's a big business area, a lot big corporations are there, along with a lot of families," said the franchise's owner, Christopher Amico, a Cherry Hill resident. He plans on launching two more franchises in North Jersey.

PrimoHoagies sells made-to-order Italian specialty, Philly cheesesteaks, and a spicy "diablo" line of sandwiches. It was named a top food franchise by Entrepreneur magazine and was a best of South Jersey by Reader's Choice magazine.
"I feel the product this company puts out is far superior to others put out by businesses in this space," said Amico, who is already an experienced business owner. He is the president and CEO of Captial Motorcars, an automotive leasing company in Springfield. "Being an Italian, Italian's love food and if you find something you enjoy and you have a passion for food, you want to bring that to the community, and that's what I'm doing."
