$14K Raised For Hackensack Kid 'British The Titan' With Brain Tumor
Nearly 300 donors raised $14,000 to help cover medical expenses for a local child whose parents say he received a brain tumor diagnosis.
HACKENSACK, NJ — Seven-year-old British James, of Hackensack, ran to his mother's bedroom at 4 a.m. in the morning one November morning and told her he'd been awakened by his own vomiting, according to an online fundraiser.
His startled mom told James to go to the bathroom to clean his face, then listened as the toilet paper rack fell and her son tumbled. The left side of his body went numb and he couldn't stand up.
"I then started tearing up because I knew at that point something was wrong and I had no clue what was going on," wrote his mother.

After a two-week hospital stay, yet still a lack of clarity about British's health status, his parents sought a second opinion on a suspected brain tumor. Doctors confirmed the diagnosis.
Now the little boy's parents are seeking financial support on GoFundMe to help with medical expenses "to get British back to the life he once knew."
In just a few days, nearly 300 donors have contributed more than $14,000 to support "British The Titan."
"Without your support we cannot reach our goal, so thank you in advance for your generosity," James' parents wrote on the fundraising page. "God bless you all."
