Neck Tattoo Leads To Bergen Co. Burglary Suspect, Others At Large: Police

A suspect in a burglary of a BMW and attempted home burglary in Bergen County was identified; police are still working to identify others.

ROCHELLE PARK, NJ — Police have identified one of three suspects in a car burglary and attempted home burglary that occurred in September in Rochelle Park, Lt. James DePreta said.

Zaire Gaskins, 18, of Newark, was identified as a match to an image recorded the day of the incident, after he was arrested in connection with similar crimes. He was masked, yet he had a unique butterfly skull tattoo on his neck, the photo depicts.

Gaskins was committed to the Bergen County Jail Monday on charges of burglary, attempted burglary, trespassing and attempted theft.

Surveillance video recorded Gaskins as he approached the front door of the home, which was locked, in an apparent attempt to enter to find the keys to the BMW parked near the home. Just prior, two individuals were recorded entering the BMW, which was unlocked, and searching the inside for the keys, police said.

Detectives are working to identify the remaining suspects.
