Wyckoff Driver Fell Asleep In Mahwah Crash: Police
The 20-year-old Wyckoff man hit a utility pole and the vehicle rolled over, police said. He refused medical attention following the crash.
MAHWAH, NJ — A man who fell asleep crashed his vehicle while driving on Campgaw Road Sunday night and caused a local power outage, police said.
A 20-year-old Wyckoff man was driving south on Campgaw Road shortly before midnight when "it is believed he fell asleep" and hit a utility pole near the intersection of Campgaw Road and Seminary Drive, said Chief James Batelli.
Campgaw was closed due to low hanging wires and the damaged pole, the chief said.

Mahwah EMS personnel examined the driver at the scene, and he refused medical attention, Batelli said.
There was a brief power outage to the area and Campgaw Road was closed. Orange and Rockalnd crews were repairing the pole.

Campgaw Road should be closed until this afternoon, police said.
