Car Strikes Spilled Debris From Box Truck On I-287 In Mahwah: Police
A vehicle struck debris spilled from a box truck on Interstate 287 while traveling along the same roadway, police said.
MAHWAH, NJ — Concrete debris generated from a box truck striking a barrier on Interstate 287 in Mahwah spilled onto the roadway, and a Mercedes C300 traveling northbound then struck the debris, New Jersey State Police spokesman Charles Marchan said.
At around 10:51 a.m. Tuesday, state troopers responded to the crash at milepost 67 northbound, where the box truck lost control and hit the barrier. No injuries were reported on scene, Marchan said.
Police are still investigating the crash and said there is no additional information at this time.
