'Champion' For Disability Inclusion Honored In Mahwah

MAHWAH, NJ — Mahwah Access for All Commission Chair Johanna Baccan was recognized and honored as a "Champion" for people with disabilities at an awards ceremony Thursday in Hackensack.

Baccan, an advocate for disability inclusion and equity, was recognized at the annual Bergen County Salute to Champions awards ceremony — an "outstanding achievement," the commission said on Facebook.

"The Access For All Community is so very proud," the commission posted.

"We are especially thrilled to celebrate Mahwah’s own Johanna Baccan," Councilwoman Michelle Crowe Paz, who was in attendance, said on Facebook.
