UPPER SADDLE RIVER, NJ - A deer wandering around Upper Saddle River with its head stuck in a plastic pumpkin Tuesday morning prompted animal control officials to send out a team to help the animal.

After issuing a call for tips to the public, authorities located the deer in a backyard and removed the jack-o-lantern from its head, according to the town's Facebook page.

“The deer has been found. Thank you. Pumpkin removed. Outstanding work by TYCO Animal Control and the NJ Division of Fish & Wildlife,” the post said.
