Ramapo Honors Distinguished Citizens Committed To Student Success
Each of the honorees was celebrated at a gala that raised nearly $250,000 for Ramapo student scholarships, research and projects.

MAHWAH, NJ — Four people were honored for their commitment to higher education and service to the Ramapo College community, school officials said.
Harold Bolton, global director of IT at UPS; Douglas Holden and Jean Weng, Ramapo parents; and Deborah Visconi, president and CEO of New Bridge Medical Center, were honored at this year's Distinguished Citizens Gala in April.
Bolton, a former student and adjunct teacher at Ramapo; the parents who established a scholarship at the college; and community partner Visconi "exemplify a commitment to giving back, to public higher education, and to Ramapo," college foundation director Chris Romano said.

Proceeds from the foundation's event in Rockleigh totaled $248,000 and will benefit scholarships, research and campus projects, a release posted to the college website said.
The fundraiser provides an opportunity to recognize the honorees for their commitment to the Mahwah college, while also supporting resources that make a difference in students' lives, according to school officials and a report.
