Wanted Man Nabbed After Crash In Bergen County: Police

A driver was found to be wanted out of Pennsylvania on grand larceny charges after he struck a curb in Bergen County, police said.

OAKLAND, NJ — A driver of a Chevy Monte Carlo was found to be wanted on an out-of-state warrant after he was involved in a Wednesday crash on Ramapo Valley Road in Oakland, police Capt. Timothy Keenan said.

Police discovered that Tyris Scott, of Newark, was driving without a license and was wanted out of Pennsylvania for previous grand larceny charges, Keenan said.

He had struck a curb after he was cut off by another motorist in a 2016 Kia, and pulled over, and a responding officer ran a computer records search, police said.
