Fugitive Steals Semi-Truck In Bergen County: Police
A man wanted on outstanding warrants from Pennsylvania was accused of stealing a semi-truck in Bergen County, police said.
MOONACHIE, NJ — An alleged fugitive from justice wanted for outstanding warrants from Pennsylvania was accused of stealing a semi-truck Sunday at or near Quivican Trucking in Teterboro, Moonachie Police Chief Richard Behrens said.
Christopher Mason, 58, of Morrisville, Pennsylvania, was charged after he was caught on video disconnecting a trailer from a tractor trailer in a neighboring parking lot, and then hijacking the tractor, Behrens said.
After a responding officer watched the surveillance footage, he walked over to the parking lot and spotted the van that Mason entered the parking lot in, as previously shown in the video, police said.
