This NJ City Has The Most Singles, Tops U.S. Ranking: Report
Just in time for Valentine's Day, Solitaire Bliss compiled a list of major suburbs with the most single people.
HACKENSACK, NJ — If you’re hoping to find that special someone this Valentine’s Day, Solitaire Bliss, an online Solitaire card game website, has got you covered. They analyzed US Census Bureau data to compile a list of major suburbs with the most singles.
On the top 10 list of cities with the most single people, Hoboken ranked second with 58.7 percent of residents who reported single, followed by Hackensack at number five with 57.6 percent.

- Hoboken, New Jersey (New York City): 58.7 percent
- Lakewood, Ohio (Cleveland): 58 percent
- Paradise, Nevada (Las Vegas): 58 percent
- Hackensack, New Jersey (New York City): 57.6 percent
- Cicero, Illinois (Chicago): 57.2 percent
- Hawthorne, California (Los Angeles): 57 percent
- Long Beach, California (Los Angeles): 56.9 percent
- Southfield, Michigan (Detroit): 56.1 percent
- Waltham, Massachusetts (Boston): 55.3 percent
Solitaire Bliss also broke down their list to suburbs with the most single men, women and divorcees.
Hoboken ranked second with Hackensack at spot eight for the most single men. For the most single women Hackensack ranked fourth and Hoboken was seventh on the list. Lastly, for the suburbs with the most divorcees, Hackensack took fifth place.

These lists were compiled based on 2019 US Census Bureau data of over 130 suburbs surrounding America’s 50 largest cities. They looked at populations of people between the ages of 18 to 65-years-old who were never married, divorced or separated.
