Hospital To Open Four New Health Clinics Inside Bergen Co. ShopRites

PARAMUS, NJ — Bergen New Bridge Medical Center plans to establish four more healthcare facilities inside Inserra Supermarkets in Bergen County this year, after opening two such clinics within the past three months.

“The work we’ve done here at Bergen New Bridge has elevated the health and wellness of those who previously had issues accessing quality healthcare,” Bergen County Executive James Tedesco said.

The Paramus hospital is set to open the CareRite Centers in ShopRites in Hackensack, Hillsdale, Lodi and Palisades Park, as the result of a partnership with the supermarket chain and data collected from a recent community needs assessment.

A CareRite Center just opened Friday in New Milford, just two months after one opened in Wallington.

“We are so proud that Shoprite is here,” said New Milford Mayor Michael Putrino. "With the opening of CareRite Now, quality healthcare will be provided to the residents of our community and the surrounding areas."

Bergen New Bridge, through the assessment, identified areas of prioritized health need, and is implementing a strategy to overcome those challenges, the hospital said.

“We are committed to breaking down any barriers that stand in the way of our community receiving the healthcare and services they need, when they need them and most importantly, where they need them," hospital president and CEO Deborah Visconi said.
