BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — An iconic Hackensack restaurant was sold recently and will reopen as soon as renovations are complete.

The Lido Restaurant, and the 5,000-square-foot building it is in, was sold. NAI James E. Janson, a New Jersey-based real estate firm, negotiated the sale.

Lido has been closed for renovations since late 2018, NorthJersey.com reported. Renovations will continue "immediately" and the restaurant will reopen once work is completed.

One of the new owners is the former general manager of a prominent restaurant chain, NAI stated in a news release.

"We were pleased to work with our client to identify an ideal buyer who not only acknowledged the strong investment opportunity this property poses but will also carry on the legacy of Lido Restaurant for years to come," said Dominic Fittizzi, who represented the seller and former owner in the transaction, which includes a liquor license.
