Identities Of Cop, Motorcyclist Killed In Bergen County Crash Released: AG's Office

The Attorney General's Office released the identities of the officer and motorcyclist involved in a deadly crash last week in Fort Lee.

FORT LEE, NJ — The identities of the police officer and motorcyclist involved in last week's fatal crash in Fort Lee have been released.

Fredy Rolando Queveda was driving an electric motorcycle north on Lemoine Avenue, when he collided with Port Authority police officer Miguel Correa in a patrol vehicle at the intersection with Bruce Reynolds Boulevard.

Queveda was taken to the hospital and died less than hour after the Oct. 17 crash.

Correa, the Attorney General's Office said, was responding to a non-emergency call in the patrol vehicle, without lights or sirens activated, and entered the intersection traveling east on Bruce Reynolds Boulevard.

Correa suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital for evaluation, Patch previously reported.

A previous statement from Port Authority spokesperson Lenis Valens said that the motorcyclist had run the red light, hitting the police car.

An investigation is ongoing, and no further information is being released at this time.
