Mahwah Car Dealerships Donate New Electronic Scoreboard
The new scoreboard at Commodore Perry Field was underwritten by the Liberty Family of Dealerships.

MAHWAH, NJ — There is a new scoreboard at Commodore Perry Field that was purchased with a donation from local vehicle dealerships.
The Town Council recently approved a resolution accepting a $20,000 donation to purchase the new electronic scoreboard.
The scoreboard is being underwritten by the Liberty Family of dealerships, including Mahwah Hyundai and Genesis and Ramsey Kia.

Rick DeSilva Sr. owns the dealerships and his son, Rick DeSilva Jr. manages them. The elder DeSilva is a former member of the Board of Education, a retired Mahwah firefighter, and a member of the Board of Adjustment. Rick DeSilva Jr. is a member of the Board of Education.
"This was an extraordinary act of generosity by a local business investing back in our Township. The scoreboard will enhance the Commodore Perry field measurably and serve all the sports played there," said Mayor John Roth. "The DeSilva family and Liberty are outstanding corporate residents and neighbors and Mahwah is truly grateful for everything they do for our community."
