Mahwah Post Office Moving To MacArthur Blvd.

Construction should being in the spring, officials said.

MAHWAH, NJ — The post office on East Ramapo Avenue is relocating to MacArthur Boulevard, officials confirmed.

The United States Postal Service confirmed the move to township officials, Mayor John Roth said, but they did not indicate when it could happen.

Construction on the new building should begin in the spring at 1037 MacArthur Boulevard, said Township Administrator Quentin Wiest.

Township officials have discussed for years plans of moving the post office. The USPS has leased the 8,200-square-foot location since 1966.

The East Ramapo Avenue location, which is conveniently located for many residents, has posed health concerns for people due to mold and other issues.

There is a Post Office annex on Industrial Avenue that serves as a hub for mail deliveries.
