Mahwah Receives 2-Ton Military Surplus Truck
The truck did not cost the township any money. It was obtained through a federal military surplus acquisition program.

MAHWAH, NJ — The township received a slightly-used, 2-and-a-half-ton military truck through a federal acquisition program.
The Mahwah Police Department acquired the truck, which is in excellent condition and has only 9,200 miles on it, said Mayor John Roth.
The truck could have multiple applications, including deep water rescues or transporting heavy equipment and materials. The truck also has winches on the front and back, which could be used to tow or pull other vehicles.
