Wednesday marks the 12th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, and residents throughout the township will be reflecting on what Patriot Day means for them.

Township officials will gather with residents for a commemoration ceremony at 7 p.m. near the train station museum across from Winter’s Pond.

The area, which houses Mahwah’s 9/11 tree, was recently adorned with hundreds of American flags remembering the lives lost that day.
