Mahwah Teachers, School Board Reach Agreement

After union representatives filed for mediation in Septembr, the Mahwah Education Association and the school district were able to settle on their own and reach a one-year contract agreement.

Select teachers will receive salary increases under the new agreement, according to the Mahwah Suburban News.

Teachers with a bachelor’s degree who also have at least 15 credits toward a master’s will receive an $800 raise, or an annual salary of $95,020. Teachers who have taught in Mahwah for at least 22 years and have 60 credits toward a master’s will receive an annual salary of $112,420, according to the Mahwah Suburban News.
