Man Charged With Witness Tampering In Bergen County: Police

A Brooklyn, New York, man was arrested and charged on Wednesday with witness tampering in Bergen County, the prosecutor's office said.

HACKENSACK, NJ — A 35-year-old publishing company owner was arrested on a witness tampering charge on Wednesday by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's office, Prosecutor Mark Musella said in a news release.

Jerome Harris, of Brooklyn, New York, was charged with third-degree witness tampering, and taken to the Bergen County Jail, where he awaits a court appearance.

The charge stems from an incident on June 8, when detectives observed Harris video-recording a witness in an attempt to intimidate them from testifying in a trial, the prosecutor's office said.
