Man Sexually Assaulted Pre-Teen In Lodi: Bergen County Prosecutor

LODI, NJ — A 33-year-old Lodi man was arrested last week for sex crimes against a pre-teen in that town in the past, prosecutors said.

Junior Reyes-Tejada of Lodi was charged last Wednesday with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault by contact, and endangering the welfare of a child, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.

Prosecutors said that on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, the Lodi Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an alleged incident of sexual assault that had occurred in the past.

An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Lodi Police Department determined that the man had sexually assaulted a child under age 13 in Lodi.

He was arrested in Paramus and taken to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, prosecutors said.
