Man Swiped Cash From Wallets At Mahwah Gym, Police Say
Police arrested a man they say stole cash from wallets at a Mahwah gym over four days.
MAHWAH, NJ — A man has been arrested for stealing cash from people's lockers at a Mahwah gym, police said.
Jamie Morella, 27, from Pequannock, was arrested in Montclair on Monday, said the Mahwah police.
Police say that he stole the.cash between the dates of July 13 and July 16 at the Powerhouse Gym.

"Victims reported money had been removed from their wallets in their lockers while they were utilizing the facility," police said.
Detective Christopher Fasulo, who investigated the thefts, said the amounts stolen were $630, $320, $120 and $50.

Police worked with the gym staff to identify the suspect.
Detectives Christopher Fasulo and Timothy Letavish arrested Morella and took him to Mahwah Police Headquarters, where he was charged with four counts of theft.
He was released to await a hearing in Superior Court, police said.
