Man Threatens Child With Scissors, Subsequently Charged In Bergen County: Cops
A man who reportedly grabbed a pair of scissors and threatened to kill a child in Bergen County was charged and arrested, police said.
GARFIELD, NJ — A 39-year-old man was accused of grabbing a pair of kitchen scissors and threatening to kill a child in a recent incident at a home on Lincoln Place in Garfield, police Capt. Mario Pozo said.
Hugo Orejuela, now charged with domestic violence, was also accused of holding the scissors to an adult victim's throat and threatening to kill the victim. He was found in possession of scissors in the rear yard of the home, following the Sept. 29 incident, Pozo said.
The adult victim reported arguing with Orejuela who began to break things within the home and then grabbed the scissors. Orejuela then pushed the victim to the ground causing minor injury, police said.

He was found during a protective sweep of the residence and arrested without incident, police said.
