A Bergen Co. man was charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of a 92-year-old retired teacher in a June crash, police said.
TEANECK, NJ — A Franklin Lakes businessman was recently charged with reckless manslaughter in connection with the death of 92-year-old Albert Schnellbacher in a June 25 crash in Teaneck, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
An investigation revealed that Scott Lieberman, 61, was recklessly driving a new Ferrari that had struck Schnellbacher's Chevy Equinox at or near the intersection of Windsor and Briarcliffe Roads, which led to the charge, according to official records.
An affidavit of probable cause stated that Lieberman was speeding and crossed a double yellow line prior to the collision.
