New Mahwah High School Students Welcomed To Community

Mahwah High School welcomed its newest members to the Thunderbird community during an orientation Tuesday.

MAHWAH, NJ — Mahwah High School Freshman Advisory leaders welcomed the newest members of the Thunderbird community during an orientation Tuesday.

The orientation provided an opportunity for incoming ninth graders and transfer students in grades 10 through 12 to meet staff and administrators, pick up a laptop and learn about school facilities and resources, a letter from school Director of Guidance Dominick Gliatta said.

In the letter to new students and parents/guardians, Gliatta featured a sample agenda for the orientation, which included various activities, such as walking the building and locating one's locker. Freshmen will also participate in team-building exercises and get a school ID card.
