NWS: Flood Warning In Effect For Parts Of Bergen County
Drivers are advised to take precautionary measures to stay safe, the National Weather Service said.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A flood warning was issued for parts of Bergen County until noon Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
Some locations that will experience flooding include: Lodi and Rochelle Park.
Excessive rainfall is expected to result in increased flooding potential around small streams and particularly the Saddle River near Lodi, NWS said.

Flooding is imminent or occurring, NWS said.
At around 6 a.m. Thursday, the stage of Saddle River was 6.1 feet. The river was forecast to crest at 6.2 feet this morning and gradually fall below its flood stage of 5.5 feet by this afternoon.

At 6 feet, flooding occurs on the parking lots of the Boys & Girls Club of Lodi and the Lodi Portuguese Club, and at the intersection of Kimmig Avenue and Borig Place in Lodi, and on the parking lot of the municipal building and at the swim club in Rochelle Park.
Drivers are advised to take precautionary measures when encountering flooded roads.
"Most flood deaths occur in vehicles," the NWS said.
