Out-Of-Stater Busted With 2 Kilos Of Cocaine, $20K: Bergen Co. Cops

A Rhode Island man was caught driving suspected illegal drugs and $20,000 in cash through Bergen County, the prosecutor's office said.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — An out-of-stater was caught driving two kilograms of suspected cocaine and $20,000 in cash through Bergen County, authorities said.

Izander Lopez-Cruz, 29, a Rhode Island barber, was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, and money laundering, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.

Lopez-Cruz was found with the drugs and money after he was pulled over Wednesday, Musella said.
