Rain Won't Wash Out Family Movie Night

Rain in Friday’s forecast will not affect a planned community movie night in Mahwah, organizers said Thursday night.

The Plant Church is hosting a big screen showing of ‘The Lorax’ at Ramapo Ridge Middle School Friday night at 8 p.m. The event, originally planned to be on the softball field behind the school, will be moved inside due to the weather.

But, the Plant still plans to have popcorn, water, and soda available to everyone who attends the showing.

“We are all about the community,” Omar Niebles of The Plant said. “We want to host events that help bring the community together.”

The event is open to everyone, and the church is hoping to get hundreds of people to attend.
