Running List: Flooded Roadways

As of about 11 a.m., thunderstorms hitting Mahwah had not severely flooded or closed any roadways. Police reported zero reported closures in the township due to the rain.

Paramus Patch reported a closure on Route 17 South at Midland Avenue and one on Route 17 North at Madison Avenue earlier Monday. As of about 2 p.m., the roadway was reopened in both directions.

Mahwah Police did report that some local roadways have standing water on them.

The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Warning in effect until 1 p.m. Monday, and a Flash Flood Watch in effect until 10 p.m. Monday. Rain is expected to continue into Tuesday.
