Special Primary to Determine Senate Candidates

A special primary election Tuesday will determine which candidates will run in an October special election to replace the late NJ Senator Frank Lautenberg, who died earlier this year.

Democrats will have the opportunity to choose between four potential candidates - Newark Mayor Cory Booker, Representative Rush Holt, Representative Frank Pallone, and Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver.

Republicans have two candidates on the ballot – former Bogota Mayor Steve Lonegan and Alieta Eck, a physician from Middlesex County.

Polls in Mahwah will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Polling locations are as follows:

District 1 - Mahwah Ambulance Corp. Co. #1 258 Franklin Turnpike

District 2 - Miller Road Firehouse (Co. #1)

District 3 - Island Road Firehouse (Co. #2)

District 4 - Town Hall, Corporate Drive [CHANGED from previous location at Ramapo Ridge Clubhouse]

District 5 - Bergen Country Police & Fire Academy Campgaw Road

District 6 - Fardale Firehouse, Fardale Avenue (Co. #4)

District 7 - Fardale Firehouse, Fardale Avenue (Co. #4) 

District 8 - Temple Beth Haverim, 280 Ramapo Valley Road

District 9 - Temple Beth Haverim, 280 Ramapo Valley Road

District 10 - Norfolk Village Road, Senior Building Dayroom, 1201 Norfolk Road

District 11 - Masonicus Firehouse, Rozanski Lane (#3)
