Revenge Porn Case Leads To Arrest Of Bergen County Man

A Bergen Co. man was arrested on charges of invasion of privacy, stalking, cyber harassment, and contempt of a permanent restraining order.

OLD TAPPAN, NJ — An Old Tappan man was arrested in connection with a social media account he allegedly created to post sexually explicit images of his ex-girlfriend in violation of a permanent restraining order, according to official records.

Daniel Pfeiffer, 33, was arrested last week in Paramus on charges of third-degree invasion of privacy, third-degree stalking, fourth-degree cyber harassment, and fourth-degree contempt of a permanent stalking restraining order, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.

Pfeiffer, a complaint said, "knowingly or purposely sent" lewd, indecent or obscene material about the victim with intent to emotionally harm, and disclosed sexually explicit photos of the victim without consent.

He also disobeyed, obstructed and impeded a restraining order issued in September 2017, the complaint added.

Police seized a cellphone and iPad from Pfeiffer's home in the execution of a search warrant, which led to the charges, a preliminary incident report said.
