Suspect In Multiple Armed Robberies Arrested: Bergen County Prosecutor

A suspect identified in multiple armed robberies throughout Northern New Jersey in April and May was arrested on June 16, police said.

HACKENSACK, NJ — Following a two-month investigation by detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, a 48-year-old landscaper was arrested on June 16 as a suspect in multiple armed robberies throughout Northern New Jersey in April and May, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said in a news release.

Michael Stuart, of Paterson, was arrested without incident on armed robbery and weapons charges by members of the prosecutor's office, the office said.

Stuart was charged with two counts of first-degree armed robbery, two counts of first-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, two counts of second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, second-degree certain person not to possess a firearm, two counts of fourth-degree aggravated assault by pointing a firearm, and fourth-degree aggravated assault.
