Woman Killed In Chain-Reaction Crash With Semi On NJ Highway
Four vehicles were involved in the crash along I-287 on Thursday afternoon, state police said.
MAHWAH, NJ — Officials said one person died after a chain reaction crash involving a semi truck on Thursday, along a Bergen County highway.
The four-vehicle collision was reported on I-287 North just before 5:45 p.m., according to New Jersey State Police. A Freightliner tractor-trailer hit the back of a Honda Civic near milepost 66.3, police said.
The impact caused the Honda to strike the Audi in front of it, which in turn rear-ended a Ford F-350.

Police said the Honda driver, 40-year-old Lauren Kopko of Stratford, Conn., was fatally injured in the collision. The Audi driver sustained minor injuries.
Officials will continue investigating the crash. The highway was closed for several hours.
