Manalapan Veterans Committee and Monmouth and Ocean County model railroaders are teaming up for a big show March 17.
MANALAPAN, NJ — There's one place that model trains, football and veterans all get together to make a memorable community event - and it's the Manalapan Veterans Committee 7th Annual Train Show.
The free event - although donations are welcome - will be at the Manalapan Community Center, 114 Route 33 West (right after Peking Pavilion) on Sunday, March 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
All ages can enjoy the event and visitors are encouraged to bring the kids to see the model train displays, provided by Monmouth and Ocean County model railroaders, organizers say.

The Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee's mission is to connect local vets with key resources available to them and their families. For a returning veteran, it can be a difficult transition from a combat zone to ordinary life at home, the committee says.
That’s why the Center for Veterans at Manalapan was created, open every Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Manalapan Community Center. To learn more about the Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee, visit its website: www.manalapanveterans.org.
