$9,000 Fraud On Debit, Venmo Accounts, Manalapan Police Report

Several instances of fraud were recently reported to Manalapan police.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Several instances of credit/debit card fraud were reported recently in the township, police said:

On July 21, a Manalapan resident, 62, told police an unknown person made approximately $9,000 in fraudulent transactions using the victim’s debit card and Venmo account. Patrolman Connor Kelly handled the report.

On July 22, a Manalapan resident, 46, told police an unknown person attempted to make fraudulent purchases using the victim’s credit card in the amount of $1,978. Patrolman Kelly also handled the report.

On July 24, a 25-year-old Westhampton resident reported that someone made $175 worth of fraudulent purchases using the victim’s credit card at the Wawa convenience store, located at 146 Woodward Road, in Manalapan. Detective Sergeant Jared Aronson handled the report.

All incidents are under investigation, police said.
