American Idol: Will Central Jersey resident Jax Make It To The Top 12?

On Wednesday night, 18-year-old East Brunswick resident, Jackie Cole “Jax” Miskanic, and her fans - the Jax Pack - will learn whether she will advance to the American Idol Top 12.

If she makes it through, she plans to sing the Beatles hit, “I Wanna Hold Your Hand,” Miskanic said on Twitter.

“Crossing my fingers and hoping tonight goes well,” she wrote. “Thank you for all the support. No matter what, I love you.”

Miskanic has been home-schooled since eighth grade so she could pursue music, she told MyCentralJersey.com.

“I feel like I’m in my own version of college right now,” she told the newspaper. “This is the ideal university for me. It’s the school I never went to.”

The results will be announced on the show, which airs on Fox at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The Top 12 singers will perform on Thursday’s show.
